Colby, that buzzing hornet in your car sounds awfully angry!

What was vibrating?

Brian, I urge you to give This local place a call/email. Might be really worthwhile doing not only for yourself, but for all us other autocrossing club members. (I'd contact them, but you know a helluva lot more than I do about tires and what we'd require for our Fieros.)

It's the same person/company that has posted this recent Craigslist ad.

Check the price compared to Tire Rack's!

Emailed and texted him...don't think he's active anymore

He still has current ads on Craigslist. Maybe he was just away for the long weekend.

Is there some reason we don't see people using these tires?

I don't know... maybe something to do with my car having newish mounts and that the velcro doesn't provide much damping for the camera.

I don't know...

Do you have that short string thing on the camera with the plastic clasp on the end of it? If so, that's what it was, vibrating against the camera itself.

I texted the guy for the tires and he doesn't have the V710's in the 15's, and he has not replied back to my question on what he may have left in 17's or V700.

Gary...I was not aware of the Hankook's, Hoosier's and KUMHO's have always been the ones people use...I like the proce of these and may try once I waer out my R888's...I am currently looking for cheap tread for my 17's as they are my storage tires, and insurance up October 7th.

No, nothing like that on this camera. Notice that it seems to happen at certain RPMs, and those mounts do transmit a lot of vibration to the interior.

Colby, you did an EXCELLENT job!!!  Fantastic time!  That's within a couple tenths of what I did with your car at lunch.  Give yourself a pat on the back.

Yes, Colby did great. I like the way he saved his best for the last run and really made it count.

On one hand I'm disappointed that I didn't get a chance in the afternoon to see if I could continue to improve my times as well (the duke was temporarily out of commission after lunch), but on the other hand it was memorable driving Charles' 10,000 mile '88 GT during the second half of the day... despite the fact it was scary dangerous with 23 year old tires and non-functioning shocks and struts!
