Buy it all price updated....I think it is time to
guage interest in my 355 replica for sale to see if
anyone wants a project that is very close to being
done just no more interest from the current owner.....
me.$7500.00 obo

  • 85% complete.
  • I have over $20k invested and many years of
    labour.

    • Kept pretty much all my old receipts as well

  • 1985 Pontiac Fiero platform
  • Just above everything I put into the car is
brand new.  I reused very few parts unless I could not
find new and then I rebuilt
<span
style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">FRAME </span>

  • Frame stretched 3" to oem length, reinforced with
    full subframe

    • subframe goes from front cross member to rear
engine cradle and is raised up 3/4" into the cockpit
      floor to ground clearance.
    • This subframe is very solid and no movement
from the frame when lifting etc.

Frame I put in below. Connects front cross member
to engine cradle.  Welded in end to end through the
cockpit.  Frame does not move.

How the frame is put into the car.  It is also
raised up to give more ground clearance.

<span style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">SUSPENSION &
BRAKES </span>

  • Custom front suspension

    • I built a coil over front suspension replicating,
      pretty closely, the Held slalom
    • Monroe shocks and coil overs
    • extended control arms so no spacers needed
    • new hub bearings etc.

09_080614_Suspension_Front_Left_Brakes_On.jpg">

  • Custom rear suspension

    • extended control arms
    • new hub bearings
    • coil over conversion on Fiero struts

G]

  • 11.25" disk brake upgrade

    • Everything on the brakes is ne, master cylinder,
      lines, calipers, rotors, bearings....

09_080902_Suspension_Front_Brake_Setup_2.jpg">

  • 18" rims and new rubber

    • 215/50/18 fronts
    • 255/35/18 rears
<span
style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">BODY</span>

  • All body panels aligned and fit to the frame

    • I realigned all panels as they were all a bit off
so I put everything to line up end to end
    • Looks really good now for body lines

  • Separate rocker panels

    • Most kits come with the rockers attached to the
      bottom of the door panels
    • I cut these off and made separate rocker
pieces and closed everything off underneath as well to
      weather-seal it all
    • All vents in rockers have been cut opened as
      per oem as well

  • All panels reinforced with metal tubing and
used to mount panels to frame
  • Custom convertible frame and targa top

    • I built a custom folding convertible top frame to
land on top of the firewall instead of the engine lid
that most 355 replica convertible tops do
    • Also comes with a targa panel so you can take
the targa panel out or targa out and convertible
      portion down for full convertible.

Sadly,  I don't have any more up to date body pics
of the full car.  I have done SO MUCH more on this
since this pic.  I have new door panels as I didn't
like the old ones.  I have fixed the rear bumper to
reconfigure the shape, set up the front hood with a
new one as the old one wasn't right.  I think I need
to take the car out of storage and get some more pics
of the body as it is hard to sell without those....

  • Custom windshield for oem Ferrari shape

    • Custom screens buy done back in 2004 for the 355
      builders.
    • I have one of those and I copied it locally
in Port Coquitlam and have a second screen to go with
      this car.
    • really makes a difference in the look vs. the
      flatter Fiero screen

I have a pic of the screen in my 308 project but I
did not seem to take pics of it in my 355 project.
This is the same screen setup in a buddy's car.  You
can also see the screen in my 308 in the build
section.

  • Custom replicated oem 355 headlight

    • I took moulds from oem headlight buckets and
      retrofitted Cavalier headlights into them
    • these look incredible and can't tell the
      difference from oem
    • Ferrari look with GM price tag for parts...
    • comes with Cav lights

  • Custom engine wire harness

    • Plug and play harness install

  • Custom engine mount

    • Made the front one for the 3.4 and used new lower
      pucks for all mounts

  • New exhaust system

    • Fiero exhaust system
    • I planned on making the 3.4 exhaust exit the
      same side as the Fiero.
    • I have one exhaust manifold but need the same
side for the back side of the engine and then build a
      cross over pipe.
<span
style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">INTERIOR</span>

  • Custom built interior

    • Upper and lower dash for oem look but donor fi

      • I extended the upper dash top out to fit into teh
extended screen for a one proper fit

    • Custom defrosters to move them out to oem
      location

      • I moved the defroster out to the bottom of the
screen to catch all the screen.  Most interiors are
set back at the stock Fiero location and miss the
bottom half of the screen when defrosting.
      • We need defrosting here on the West Coast or
        we fog up...

    • Custom air flow management

      • I built new HVAC directors and piing to match up
        with the new vent locations

    • Oem Ferrari vents

      • These are not cheap, $400 US for three vents...

    • Custom door handles

      • Replace the Fiero handles with custom handles that
        operate like oem Ferrari

    • Interior is not covered

      • Still at the fiberglass level.
      • I found a guy here in Vic that does
incredible work and is reasonably priced.
      • I think around $2500 for the whole
        interior....

    • Custom steering whee

      • lGot it for Christmas.  Looks pretty good but not
        Ferrari replica.

  • Two black and red Fiero seats

    • I got these from my 308 build I have been updating
      you guys on.
    • I will include them if you want them,
otherwise, it will be off to Mr. Mike's or custom
      local upholstery shop.

<span
style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">ACCESSORIES/ADDITIONAL
PARTS</span>

  • New 4" round running lights that go in the lower
    front bumper
  • New front turn signal.  Toyota Camry.

    • Bumper made to fit these
    • Pretty close to Ferrari oem and lot
      cheaper

  • Oem side marker light

    • rectangle side turn/marker lights.
    • I have set them into the bumpers as per oem
      for proper look

  • Some oem badges and some replica badge

    • Can't remember exactly what I have picked up over
the years but you can have what I have
    • I think I still need a couple pieces

  • There is more but I would have to go into my
cupboards and storage and list it all out.

    • What I have for the car, you get

<span style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">WHAT REMAINS TO
COMPLETE</span>

  • Once over to ensure everything is tightened up

    • Go over everything to make sure it is all tight
      and lined up properly.
    • i have had it together and apart so many
times over the years, I would go over the whole car
end to end to make sure it is all tight.
    • It is all there, just might not be tight and
      lock pinned yet...

  • Cover interior panel

    • As I said, I know a guy but I am sure you do as
      well....

  • Finish convertible top

    • Frame built
    • Needs covering and I can show you what I was
      going to do

  • Install engine

    • Again, all there and has been installed in the
      past
    • I took it out to keep it clean while I was
      doing bodywork and other pieces

  • Final sanding of body panels and touch up
    body work and paint

    • This is going to be the most work area
    • It is all there and for the most part, pretty
close to ready for high build primer
    • I would spend a couple weeks sanding and
filling little voids you always get in the fiberglass
and spray some high build on and sand and spray to get
the smooth surface you are looking for

Pictures coming shortly. I have one pic in
my 308 rebuild diary here to show you the status just
before I left Calgary in '09.  I have done some more
body repairs and corrections since then but otherwise,
it looks a lot like that pic.  Not complete but not
far away either. The price isn't exactly cheap but I
have over $20k in it and 10 years of labour. (can't
count that I know).  I don't think it would take much
more than a few thousand more and then paint to
complete this car and have it on the road.I was going
to use the frame on my Countach project but Fieros are
easy to find so I thought I would trey to sell the 355
all in for a while first before making a final
call.Put in the several last months to finish it or
part it out.....  I prefer to sell as a unit if I
can.  Not interested in selling off parts just yet so
the engine and trans stay with the project for
now.....Thanks for looking and I will get some
pics up shortly.Don
