Well it was a great get together and for those who missed
it I certainly hope you make it next year. We met up with
(Jet City) Boyd and Jackie, Dan and Donna, and Bob and
Jeff down near Seattle, at Bend Washington around 10am.
(The rest followed Saturday.) We left shortly after
that, and weather was fantastic, and the drive over
wonderful. We arrived shortly after 2 o'clock and checked
in at the Shilo Inn. We had a short time to relax, shop
and then met up with the crew on the pool deck for a
Hawaiian luau. We had appetizers, pop, sandwiches, and
great company and conversation. So many people, such
wonderful people. We woke up early the next morning
around 9, and got to Jefferson Park around 10 after
having a complimentary breakfast at the Shilo. We drove
into the park and out onto the grass and parked alongside
everyone else. Got in a few touch ups, and then went to
meet up with people and check out the cars. Lots to see,
and really amazing cars. We had a wonderful day in the
park, with pizza for lunch. Leaving around 2:30 or 3
o'clock, to go back to the pool and the hotel. We
returned around 6 o'clock for awards, presentations, and
dinner. Dinner consisted of BBQ ribs, chicken, baked
beans, potato salad, and beverage. All the food was
excellent. After awards we all went for a cruise through
town, winding up at Baskin Robbins for ice cream, and
more conversation. We all returned back to the hotel to
the hospitality suite for conversations good stories some
remaining pizza and goodbyes. We are up at 8:30 the next
morning and met with Dan and Donna to head back home.
Weather again was hot and sunny. Heading home through the
Snohomish Pass with Brendan driving, I suddenly noticed a
loss of power in the car and it's starting to misfire. We
quickly notify Dan and Donna, and we all pulled over to
the side of the road. Trying to restart the car it was
almost wanting to start, but didn't want to. We left it a
few minutes to cool down, even though the engine wasn't
hot, and it started once again after a bit of a cool
down. Fortunately I carry extra parts, and immediately
changed the coil and restarted. By this time we had a
state trooper behind us making sure nobody ran into the
back of us, and all was good. Getting back on the road we
continued home without further incidents. All was good
and it proves once again that we should always carry a
distributor and coil which is most important and more
prone to fail than any other part. Special Thanks to Dan
and Donna Duval for the company back, and to Paul,
Brandy, Art and Meralee (hope that spelling is correct)
for all the hard work in putting this event together.
Another shout out to Joe and Justin. Looking forward to
seeing that car finished next year!

Very cool, and we need to meet up so I can give you the club banner and pick up those rotors from you. I can't thank you enough for picking those up from one of the Portland guys for me.

I am glad the fest was again a success. I just wish Lisa and I were able to attend it more often. Maybe when the kids are a bit older.

Oh and I posted a link to this thread on the club list as well as the Jet City Fiero's of Seattle email list.
