Hey guys:

After over half a year of lurking (and asking countless stupid questions) around the forum, I think I may be interested in joining the club as a due-paying member. I'm just wondering what the member benefits are, besides participating in all the meetings and fun events you guys have regularly. And what is the annual club due?

I have owned this 86 GT for over 6 months now. It was totally unplanned. I'm a kid (oh well, young at heart anyhow) with absolutely no car knowledge whatsover prior to owning this Fiero. Back in July, I had some extra money and wanted to buy a cheap fun car (already owned two others). Had my eye on a nice 93 Trans Am. Almost bought it until the guy jacked up the price last minute.

Cold hard cash already in my pocket, called up a guy advertising a "Fiero" on Craigslist and bought it just like that. Paid $2,800 for the car and thousands more in repairs after. Still love this car so much. I just sold my 2007 Sebring so I can drive the Fiero full-time :)

And learned so much about cars and the mechanically stuff along the way. Til I save up enough to get a 5.0 Mustang (or preferably a GT 500)!

Robin

Benefits include possibly getting your dinner paid for, winning fantastic tools/car toys, going camping, going to club runs and of special importance to you, access to club tech sessions.

Believe me, $24 will seem like the best bargain of your life by the time everything is sorted out.

If you buy new parts for your car from Lordco, the savings more than makes up the cost of membership every year.

Not only that but active members enjoy all the intense support they can handle when problems pop up.  I can't imagine this group being stumped by any mechanical or electrical issue. The combined years of worldly experience we all possess is staggering.

You're in good hands.

Okay...thanks guys! So I guess I will try to show up at the next club meeting then. How come all club events/meetings ALL fall on Saturdays? Wouldn't a variety of different days work out better for most people? I for one won't be able to make it on most Saturdays due to a few reasons. And I can't be the only one with this problem...

What about a Sunday meeting over breakfast/brunch/lunch sometime? Just a suggestion. I'd been wanting to drop by more than a few times, but just simply can't make it on Saturdays

Regular club meetings fall on the 2nd Saturday of every month. That's just the schedule and seems to allow most members to attend if we have the date, time and place consistent. FWIW, I am usually tied up with family and other personal business on Saturday nights, but knowing when the club meetings are, I know if I can swing that Saturday night off I make an effort to get my tail and Fiero out to the meeting.

As for events, there are many events scheduled (or not scheduled) throughout the summer that don't fall on a Saturday evening. Lots of impromptu drives and coffee meet ups, so stay tuned, get on the email mailing list.
