If you're referring to the gaps... No, not to that extent (although to be fair, it's pretty difficult to see it all that well in that particular picture).

I think he's referring to the 'grooves' that run forward and back, and line up with the lines in the hood.

Yes. Those are supposed to be there.

Well, could be the result of a bad bondo job if you didn't know. Especially if the car had front end damage (Which I'm not sure if this car does or does not).

thanks for the help, and ya there is some front end damgage im working on. Also on that bumper, where the bumper meets the hood, it curves up. Is there any way to fix that?

It's tough, but it can be done...

In a very small nutshell:
Find some backing material like a thin wide stick. Use it to push the skin upwards, while gently heating the skin with a heatgun, good hairdryer, etc.

When you get the desired shape, have someone pour cold water over it to set it in place. Might want to over shape it, to allow for sag.

Just don't overheat it though... so... you'll probably want to practice on a scrap part.

Hey - all the above could be good material for a tech day this summer!
If someone has a ripped up nose they're gonna scrap, hang onto it.
