| For some time now my windshield wipers would usually swipe once when I started my car (87 GT). Lately they have been getting worse, wiping back and forth several times before quitting. Any ideas? |

You have the dreaded "phantom wipes". I THINK I MAY HAVE FIGURED THIS OUT. I will bring some electrical diagrams and drawing to our next meeting, but I think (Not positive, but I do think) that the fault lies in the park switch and the high speed relay being pulsed for a split second. I'll bring the paperwork so it makes more sense to April's meeting. Could be completely wrong (Probably am) but electrically speaking, it would explain the "momentary" single swipe of the wiper motors. ------------- Never shift into reverse without a back-up plan. |

i suppose i should explain the pic: the picture shows which resistors to replace on your board with the corisponding value of the said resistor and as you see there are two diffenert boards so you have to find out which one you have before buying the new resistors

Those arn't resistors - they're capacitors. Those symbols represent nano-Farads, how much "capacity" they take before the voltage goes elsewhere. Resistors use Ohms. The reason for the capacitors is just allow for your intermittent setting, but I think they're also responsible for powering the park circuit. I'll bring my basic wiring diagrams and sketches to our meeting, and try to explain myself better... ------------- Never shift into reverse without a back-up plan. |
