OK I don’t want to say much, but the people that attend this meeting are going to have a blast. Its 2 parts, well actually about 6 parts. 5 parts driving and 1 later part pubbing and partying. Its Lisa’s Birthday on the 12th so the pub portion will be open to all of our VW and Corvette fans as well, as the Fiero Club guys and gals. Make sure your car has a full tank of gas, check all your fluids and tires. Part 1 will have us chasing each other all over Langley and Surrey. We will start out at the Ricky’s Parking lot. You will be given a poker card each, and given a set of 5 locations to get your other cards. 1st person to each location gets there choice of card at that location. Bring a couple extra bucks in cash with you, as you may have to buy a stick of gum or a can of pop at some locations in order for them to give you your card. At least one location will have “hidden cards” That you will have to find once you arrive. Part 2 will be once you have a card from each location you will go to the final location and best hand gets dinner paid for. With the cool fall air, the cars should run amazingly well. I will be there in my V8 ready to have a blast too. Here is the deal, cards will be give out at 6:15pm, and people will be allowed to leave at 6:30pm. If you are late, you are going to have to hurry if you want to get the best cards at the stops. This should be a ton of fun. For those of you that remember the old Port Kells Street racing groups chasing each other from racing location to racing location, I can see this being similar. Only unfortunate thing is there won’t be any drag racing once we reach each spot. L David |

Dave it looks like I won't be able to make it. It's a little crazy around here right now with me just starting to hobble around after my ankle injury. I'm so unorganized it's silly. Hence the reason I haven't returned your call yet.....Bad Dawg.

I will attend the meet, but I think I will have to skip the Poker Run. Beyond the fact that the Big Block truck is most certainly not a racer (Well, not races with corners, anyways) the sheer amount of fuel it uses would be astronomical. Will still see you at the meet though.

Damn it!!! So I will be missing two SUPER awesome things this
Saturday. First, it's the Manny Pacquiao fight. And then this poker run. Sounds like it will be a SUPER blast! It's long weekend, so I will be out of town. Have a great one, guys and gals. I'm gonna have to start setting my priorities straight next time :) |

November 12th Saturday. Club Poker Run and Lisa's Party Afterwards at a pub. I am getting a bit worried here, I am seeing a lot of “Sorry Can’t make it’s” Can I please get a head count on who is planning on attending what parts of the event. Either the Poker Run or the Pub Party. Poker will probably be 6pm to 8:30pm and Pub from 8:30-11:00pm. Please hit reply if you think you are coming it is a fair bit of work to get thipreparedpaired and I would hate to do it all for nothing.

Well I hate to do this, but the Poker run is cancelled due to lack of commitment. I guess it’s my fault for springing it on people without much discussion. So this means that we are just going to go straight to the pub and will move the start time of the pub up to 8pm. The pub is (I knew the pub the entire time, I just could not remember the name of it to post it up, and to use Google maps location / business type to find it) Samz Neighbourhood Pub in Langley. The address says it’s in Surrey but trust me, it’s more Langley than Surrey. Just a few blocks off of 200th Street. Coming from Trans Canada take the 200th Street Exit head South down to 56th Ave, turn right, head down about 1.5kms and the pub will be on your left. 19580 56 Ave, Surrey BC V3S 6K4 Have Fun and See Ya There.
